… E con questo fan 200 concerti del Link Quartet. E la sorte vuole che questo storico evento ce lo giochiamo in casa tra le mura amiche del Caffè Letterario Baciccia di Piacenza, giovedì 27 maggio (un po’ come per Zanetti e la sua partita numero 700 in nerazzurro che coincide con la finale di Madrid).
Per questo motivo invitiamo tutti gli amici a sostenerci in questo epico incontro che si preannuncia ricco di sorprese…

Il concerto in programma a Consonno (LC) in occasione del 1° Maggio è stato annullato. Vi diamo appuntamento a Piacenza al Circolo Letterario Baciccia il 27 Maggio.

Here we are again, presenting the Easter Rimini International Mod Rally, this year its the 26th edition.
As usual we’ve done our best to guarantee the right dose of quality music, Smart people and friendly atmosphere (without mentioning Italian food and wine of course)

The Sunday afternoon gig will be held again at Bounty pub; the venue that we introduced last year, for the 25th anniversary, perfect to host live music. Here you will have the chance to see in concert a brilliant Hammond groove combo, by the name of “Link Quartet”.

The scooter competition will also take place outside Bounty pub, with prizes for Best Mod Scooter, Best Lambretta, Best Vespa and Furthest travelled.

For the rest is the usual formula, which always gives to hundreds of people four days of good music, smart attitude and a long weekend of pure modernist fun. Make sure you don’t miss it.

Link Quartet:
The Link Quartet are Paolo “Apollo” Negri (Hammond organ), Renzo Bassi (bass Guitar), Marco “Majo” Murtas (lead Guitar), Alberto “Pato” Maffi (Drums).

The Link Quartet is one of the greatest Hammond beat bands around; their influences spread from Jazzy Hammond grooves to Bands like The Small Faces, Georgie Fame, Brian Auger and the Prisoners, but their music is performed with a very personal touch.

In their 16 years of existence, they’ve had a long series of Albums and Compilations published and have been touring all around the world, including two Coast to Coast tours of the USA. We don’t need to add anything more, don’t miss the chance to see them performing live, Sunday afternoon, At Bounty Pub.

Recently picked up by Kenny Dope who has released her single “Working woman” on his Kay Dee label, Gizelle Smith is next big thing of today’s deep funk scene. After 3 smasher 45s and a full length with much respected Hamburg-based label and live band The Mighty Mocambos, Gizelle is ready to launch her solo carrier with this new single “June”. A sister funk masterpiece designated to rock the dance-floors and soon become a future classic. The single highly anticipates her solo debut album. On the flipside, Alice Russell / Thu Thoughts funk producer of the moment TM Juke pushes the track a bit forward with a more dj friendly cut. Still deep funk, still soul, still great… Not to be missed!
